Why fundraise for Tuition Assistance?

Parents spend a good deal of time finding the right match for their children when it comes to picking a school.

When a child is thriving in school, it is pure magic. Being in the right environment means the child is inspired and enthusiastic about learning. It is enthusiasm and inspiration that make people take action and create meaningful change in the world.

Education, in general, has become increasingly more expensive over the past decade. Parents carefully choose the right school for their child and when the decision leads to the right match, it feels impossible to take them out of that positive environment even when financial circumstances dictate that they must.

Independent schools across the nation are experiencing more and more requests for tuition assistance from families who have never needed it before. The schools are faced with increasing the amount of scholarship when there is such instability in the private school business. There are schools closing and downsizing all over the country.

When we asked our friend, Dave Matthews to help Heschel West keep students who are thriving in the school, he graciously agreed. When he learned that students at Heschel West are able to express ideas through art, music and play, Dave, being so playful himself, could not resist lending a hand.

Dave’s generous spirit has created an opportunity to bring in the kind of money that will keep children on their path to creativity, optimism and empowerment.

Backyard BBQ Concert with Dave Matthews

Join us for a once in a lifetime musical performance with Dave Matthews.

7pm dinner
8pm concert

This special event will take place at the home of Kim and Rob Cavallo in Hidden Hills, California. Address will be emailed upon receipt of reservation.

Proceeds from this event goes to the Tuition Assistance Fund at Heschel West Day School in Agoura, California. This fund provides need-based scholarship to students. Heschel West is a National Blue Ribbon school that teaches children in preschool through 5th grade how to do things right and to do the right thing. Heschel West is an IRS recognized 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
